Direct Healthcare International's Protection Insurance is a special insurance package specifically negotiated to cover people traveling overseas for elective surgery. The insurance is designed to safeguard and address problems associated with cost overruns resulting form unexpected overstays in hospitals that are beyond the control of the patient.

Limitations of Policy

The patient is not covered for the following circumstances:

Where the patient elects to stay longer in the hospital or rehabilitation facility The first two days of any unplanned or unforeseen extra stay following surgery Patients that have a BMI (Body Mass Index) of over 60 Patients with a serious heart condition or history of coronary heart disease Patients aged over 60 (weight loss surgery only) Cover in all circumstances is to a maximum of 7,000 Euros in total

The Following Circumstances are Covered

Any unplanned or unforeseen stay in Intensive care following surgery, except for the first two days After release from intensive care ITU or recovery to normal wards any other days staying in the hospital Physiotherapy in the host hospital during the patient period of stay The reasonable cost of an hotel for one accompanying relative limit 500 Euros The reasonable cost of travel for an accompanying relative limit 500 Euros  Specialising in healthcare delivering exactly what you deserve and expect  Extremely competitive insurance tailored to your needs  Excellent customer service, working with both you and your doctor, as appropriate
